For those of you that don’t follow me on social media, then you haven’t heard the good news (and if you do follow me, just act surprised). This guy is going to be a dad!
I’m going to assume you’re applauding and sending a heartfelt congratulations, to which I respond: thank you.
I’m actually pretty excited. I started getting the itch to have a child a couple of years ago, and now it’s finally happening. I’m simultaneously pumped and terrified. I understand that, no matter what, I’m going to mess it up. That’s just a given, but I want to mess up as little as possible.
Anyway, while we don’t spend a great deal talking about it on the podcast, I just wanted to include you all in this occasion. But the stuff that we do spend a decent amount of time talking about is Metroid: Samus Returns, which I recently wrote a review for in case you missed it. Additionally, we continue our conversation from last week about Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, we talk about a SNES Classic review that said some not so kind words about the NES library that I took exception to, and we wouldn’t be a proper video game podcast if we didn’t get into the recent PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds vs Fortnite feud.
We ruminate on where the Kool Aid Man is now and what he needs to do to get himself back into the public eye. If you ask me, he should just walk into a room and be offended by something, then he would fit right in. Also, have you ever considered paying $1,000 for a virtual item that does nothing special? Well, people are apparently doing that. All that, plus an entertaining story about Luke’s mom harassing a bear.
